I think everything you just wrote is accurate...and it's all the exact reason why a coach loses his job in the SEC. You didn't even really give so much opinion as you just gave the facts. Considering those facts....it seems hard not to think our coach and staff are not succeeding and don't seem to be progressing, even a little.

You named a lot of problems, and ultimately the coach is responsible for all of that.

Look at your list of underperforming positions. It's not like we have a couple of guys on the team that aren't playing up to their supposed ability. We have whole positions, 3, 4, 5, and 6 deep that are underperforming. That's coaching. Make a list of the players that are noticeably better now than the first game they played.

Ultimately there are just too many things that are wrong.

Listed below are the portions of my comments that were opinions. I am just thankful that the people on this and other message boards are not responsible for the hiring and firing at Auburn University. That INCLUDES myself.

I would like to see CBVG be given complete control of the firing/hiring of defensive coaches. I hope we keep CGC. Petrino would not solve our problems. For every person who wants BP there are just as many who don't.

** Everyone says the play calling is horrible, but how many of us actually know what plays are being called? Are the QB's reading defenses properly, are receivers running the correct route, are OL picking up the right blockers?

I know people will say that players are not being coached up and that may be the case. But at some point talent should be winning out. If we really are as talented as we think we are, then at some point you would think we could line up an beat less talented teams physically. I do not know if I have seen that all season.

I think Auburn needs a self check...players need to look in the mirror, coaches need to look in the mirror, the administration needs to look in the mirror, and fans need to look in the mirror. Here is a little warning, be careful when we look in the mirror because we may not like what we see.
