that shoulder of his has been a problem since he was a freshman. It seems he has always had something going on with it, probably the reason he fumbles so much. I wonder if they should make him walk around all week with a football in his arms.

It's a real shame for Mario because other than the bum shoulder he as the talent to play on Sundays.

I've seen players with bad shoulders before, and if the problem is severe enough to require a harness they can't protect the ball or lower their heads and drive an opponent backwards. You can't question Mario's value to the team, but unless they find a way for him to play without a harness, he's more of a receiving threat than a RB. Regardless he's made some big plays for us and deserves playing time, even if he's limited to blocking and catching the ball.

In spite of his weaknesses and injury issues, Mario Speedwagon is still one of my all time great Auburn players. When all that stuff went down with the duck hunter, this new staff almost completely depended on Mario to keep not only this team together, but also new recruits coming in.

He has an incredibly good attitude by nature and a great outlook on life. Whatever his role ends up being, he will always be a favorite of mine. What a great kid he is!
