This year's football entrance song...

  • Last year's was terrible, let's face it. We will also never out do the 2010 song 'All I do is Win'. That song will live in infamy... Forever.

    For this year... I'd love to hear AC/DC... For Those About to Rock (We Salute You). It's fitting, and in my opinion it would get the crowd pumped up. From the younger ages, to the 30s and 40s and 50s folks... Thoughts? and give our opinions on what needs to be played.... WDE!

  • I'm thinking about another "hype" type song for the younger generation.. It's an old school song for sure but the chorus I think is fitting... "Lose yourself" by eminem.. And one I will allllllllllways love is... Eye of the Tiger!

    I know the "all I do is win" song was fitting that year but I freaking hate that song. Just turrible. IMO, the best entrance type music is hard rock, that's what gets me pumped. Whenever they played Saliva and POD that was cool. But I agree, for those ab to rock would be awesome intro music.

  • The list could go on and on but for those about to rock is kinda played out.

    Even enter sandman is way played out. Gotta go back to the real Metallica and you will find ALBUMS full of pump you up aggressive metal that still kills ANYTHING that has been put out in the metal genre....

    But you could always do Zakk Wylde Just pick one of his songs and it will do.

    The other thing that I dont think is needed and why I dont dig the No leaf clover Idea (great tune dont get me wrong) but the slow to heavy thing is just not workin rigth now and the mixers always get teh timing wrong. HEAVY IN HEAVY OUT no "soft" crap just pound out the heavy and keep it commin. I alawya dug teh Welcome to the Jungle just for that reason. Even though GNR is one of my least favorite bands....

    T end my thought though if we really want to GO THERE with heavy..... The thing that should not be I mean how can you go wrong with a lyric like... Messenger of fear in sight...DARK DECEPTION KILLS THE LIGHT!!!!!!!... I just dont think you can miss with that!

  • Bama did For Those About to Rock year before last. I don't think we want to go there this year. (Although that is one of my favorites) I do agree that last year's song was horrible! We need to be rocking to get the crowd fired up. I would love to see Metallica - Don't Tread on Me, Queen - Stone Cold Crazy or Red Hot Chili Peppers - Higher Ground. I wouldn't mind pop or rap but it's got to get the crowd going, maybe something like Outcast - B.O.B. or we could let T- Will update Tiger Walk. I've always loved that song!

    "Infamy" is defined as extremely bad reputation, public reproach, or strong condemnation as the result of a shameful, criminal, or outrageous act. You might want to pick a better adjective.

    I rather liked the song so I dunno about infamy. biggrin

    This song below is the winner in my mind. Such a good hype song!

    Just imagine the Auburn players walking out of the tunnel to this....

    I get where you are coming from, but not really a great intro song, ya know? I try to imagine the Auburn players walking out of the tunnel to each song listed.... Dark horses while they are walking out of it just didn't fit to me.

    Well technically the players come out of the tunnel to Eye of the Tiger and then the fight song. Preceding that is the hype video and then after the players come out onto the field there is another video. Of course that could all be switched around a bit this year. Also whatever song is used will be edited down to fit a 30-60 second video, just like with All I do is Win. So it will be made to fit. Anyway, it is one of the few newish songs that I think would go well.
