This worrying about recruits is incessant.

  • The criticisms for things they haven't even done is even worse. Dee Liner is an Auburn commitment and has stayed committed through three defensive coordinators. He initially committed to a school riding the high of a national championship and is now licking its wounds from a 3-9 epic failure of a season. Frankly, I am glad to have the recruits we do have.

I had to laugh about someone who posted about "R.E.S.P.E.C.T." They said you have to earn it. Who are we to ask these kids to earn our respect? For what?

I was taught that respect is something you owe someone. You had better give it because everyone deserves it, it is only through actions that they lose it. The thing you have to earn is trust.

Do I trust these kids? Not as far as I can throw them, and they are very big.
Do I respect them? Yes, they are owed as much.

Bottom line: AU commitment shouldn't be wearing Alabama gear every day

    The Auburn Guy

  • I dunno where he will end up, but he is going to get the piss knocked out if him on the first day of practice wherever he goes for all of his diva recruitment antics.

Demolish_bama, I agree, Dee Liner has remained committed to AU despite people pushing him hard to go elsewhere. It surely hasn't been easy on him since his favorite team stunk it up this year and the other state school is playing in the title game.

I like your thoughts on earning trust and owing respect. War Eagle!
