The offense isn't that great either.

The defense actually gave us a chance to win tonight, just poor quarterback and receiver play. The play calling has been kinda predictable as well. Hopefully the injury bug will quit biting and we can get everyone back soon. WDE

Defense looked better AFTER giving up the 90+ yard run. Not sure what that means, if anything.

I think we were in the game until the PHANTOM HOLDING CALL on the first drive of the third quarter. They called it on Lutz but I did not see any hold. To all of my ARK friends (you know who you are) who complained about the fumble last year, we're now even. The entire game changed on that BS call.

For those who wanted KF to start of BT, we see now why he isn't. He can run. but reading defenses and showing judgement about when to throw or tuck it and run is still being developed. He seems to have a very high ceiling though.

trotter needs to learn that he doesn't have to throw a frozen rope bullet every time... he can put some touch on the pass.

A few plays here and there and I think we could just have easily won this game. The D play calling seemed particularly atrocious in the first half.

Defense was not that bad. Lot of bending, but the offense put them under tremendous pressure tonight. The 17 or so straight pass completions were not pretty, but overall, the defense deserved better.

The shanked punt put them in a hole, and they made a BIG stand and gave up zero. They are going to be one tough D before the year is out. Lemonier is starting to play like I thought he could. Linebackers are getting better. I am not too upset tonight. May get over this one by tomorrow morning.

You clearly were watching a different game than I was. In the 2nd half, The defense gave up one big 92 yd run play and other than that, the other 2 scores were with a short field due to offensive turnovers. The defense played extremely well against a very potent offense in the 2nd half - and that's not an opinion, that's a fact. If you don't believe it, you should reread Phillip's blog - it's spelled out pretty well. Did you happen to take notice how many consecutive three and outs the defense had in the 2nd half. I really wish people would do their homework and have at least a slight clue of what they were talking about before starting such foolish threads. Good grief.

The defense was decent tonight. Take away the long td run and it would have been a good performance due to the lack of O we had tonight. Good progress with the young guys.

The thread was started in the first half in which we gave up 21 points and 300 yards passing. We did get some 3 and outs later.

Although I have never been a head coach, I am in my 4th decade of watching football on TV and have a PlayStation with EA Sports NCAA Football, so I feel fairly confident in saying that giving up 38 points is not a shutdown D, and scoring 14 points and turning the ball over multiple times on the road in the SEC is bad.

I stand corrected, it's the greatest 38-14 loss of all time. The team is perfect. We really won. And if you disagree, you know nothing about football and you have no right to an opinion, even on a friggin message board.
