I think I remember reading that . It was shortly after you started your Thursday articles if I remember correctly. While I agree with that for the most part I still believe part of my argument holds water. I agree that when we are talking about a 9-3 ot 10-2 AU team being ranked similarly to "power" teams the numbers back up your argument. I was really refering to it being unfair when we are talking about comparing national championship type records (undefeated or 1 loss). It seems that when non-traditional top 5 or 10 teams are undefeated they always lose the argument to the name teams b/c people seem to believe if you haven't finished in the top 10 the 2 years prior to going undefeated, then you aren't quite good enough. I believe you may have written something else pertaining to that. Basically saying if we establish a top 10 program every year we will get the benefit of the doubt. I'm not saying we aren't ranked similarly at say 15th or 20th. I guess my point is you can be the best team in the country even though you lost 5 games the year before (2010 AU). Yet the non traditional teams won't get the benefit of the doubt if there is a debate to be had at the very top. I don't think that's fair b/c it should be about the current team. Conciously or sub-consciously people have a bias. I hope that made sense.

that my friend is all of our frustration very well written. Lou Holtz ( the spitting cobra ) is the master of selective fact findings to support his demented conclusions. Since 2004 I have supported a playoff for all of the reasons stated however you must win your conference to make the playoffs none of this at large bulls&*t or we will be back to square one with certain universities getting special treatment - WDE
