  • Earlier this week, I asked for your prayers for my son. It has been a long week but we got to come home today. He had a biopsy on the brain tumor on Wednesday. Final results aren't in, but the pathologist in the OR thinks it is a GBM tumor stage 3. We will see an oncologist this week and also decide where to sell treatment. I want to sincerely thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. During some dark moments this past week, I found myself re-reading your posts and being inspired to be positive and fight. To my AU family, thanks for being there when we needed you. In the coming months, please continue the prayers as we fight this awful thing. My son said tonight that we have to go to A Day so we can roll Toomers. God willing, we will be there!! Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart, and WDE!!

    Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

    He doesn't promise to always supernaturally heal, and He doesn't always promise to do things the way we wish He would. But He DOES promise to "give grace and mercy in our time of need". He may do so through supernatural healing, and we all certainly ask that he do so. But know that the grace and mercy He offers will be sufficient no matter what.

    You're not alone in this...."draw near" as the verse suggests, and "He will draw near to you" (James 4:8).
