Let me start by saying just because a person attended Auburn does not make him/her a better fan than a person who adopted Auburn as their favorite team. Some of the best Auburn fans I know did not attend school there. That being said, I was just curious about the backgrounds of the Auburn family on this board.
I attended Auburn 1957-1961, and graduated in December 1961. (Argh...that is 50 years ago.)

I did not attend. . Born in 1959...Lived in the country. Cousins in Crestwood showed me the light in 1968. . Single Mother made 75 cents to $1.25 during the sixties and early seventies. We lived with my Grandmother with limited income. Did not know anyone who knew how to get scholarship money back then. It's a lot easier now. I worked in a Steel Warehouse for thirty years with the same company. My wife has been at Southern Nuclear (Southern Company) for 33 years. She took drafting in high school at the Trade School. She's worked her way up the ladder. . My son was a National Merit Scholarship Winner in 05. He attend Florida and graduated with three degrees and was Cum Laude (sp) and made the Dean's list all four years. Him and his wife live in Boston where he is teaching and pursuing a PHD from Boston College. . My daughter is currently at Troy working on her Accounting degree and doing good with her grades and enjoying Campus life. . Slinging Steel for thirty years has paid off for me. I could not be any prouder of my kids and my love for Auburn University. . They were raised and still are Auburn Fans. Just ask them who the biggest fan they know of and they will say, Oh that's easy, my Dad.
