I was born and raised by die hard bama fans. I took a free school trip to visit auburn's campus. I loved the school and loved the people. I new immediately where i was going to college. I flipped to auburn, became the black sheep of the family, and still have no regrets. Been a fan since 2003. War Eagle!

Graduated from University of Georgia 1970. Became a fan when my daughter and my money went to Auburn from 2007-graduated 2011. Still a fan of both universities.

Some of the best Auburn fans I know did not attend school there. That being said, I was just curious about the backgrounds of the Auburn family on this board.
I attended Auburn 1957-1961, and graduated in December 1961. (Argh...that is 50 years ago.)

Got a full-scholarship to Auburn University Montgomery...so I joke around with people that I am half-Auburn grad
Graduated in 2004 with a 4.0 GPA (yes...I am bragging)
I would probably say I became a "real" fan in 2002. First game I went to was in 2004...the wife (who was my g/f at the time) bought me season tickets as a graduation gift. What a great year to buy tickets huh?
However, I became an OBSESSED fan after the 2008 season. Since then I've followed recruiting, and subscribed to message boards here or there. Signed up here at AUC over a year ago and that has just made it worse

I grew up in a bama family, but we lived on Auburn Avenue in Huntsville, so I've been an AU fan my whole life. Chose to go to school at UAB (had some misguided idea that I would make a good MD). My kid has plans to go to AU, but that is some time away.

from cincinnati, graduated from ohio state and i live in columbus, but my grandfather graduated in the '40s and our entire family has been all auburn ever since. i wish i could have gone to auburn. once when I met tubbs at a gas station, I went home and told my dad, and the first thing he asked was, 'did you tell him your dad's the biggest auburn fan in the state of Ohio?'
I convert every buckeye I can. I have a pretty high success rate.
