I watched Cord Sandberg in the FL state championship game playing for Manatee and he is the real deal, mobile and accurate on the run throwing the ball.

I keep thinking that we haven't had a "great QB" at Auburn in years....Jason Campbell and Cam Newton have people all over the country wearing their pro jerseys right now.
With that said, it would be very nice for teams to have to fear our passing game - all the while maintaining our Running Back U image. Bring on spring practice!

BM any of the ten who you think we are going after more than others? I know they have mentioned rettig and j johnson a few times. Just wondering if there are any in particular you think they will focus in on or are they still evaluating?

Sandberg is the guy we need IMO.
Also, is Auburn high enough on Jason Smith to accept a commitment from him as our only QB in the class?
If we are truly looking for a drop back QB, smith doesn't seem like the beat option. I mean he isnt even listed as QB, just an ATH.

Without a doubt it's Johnson. It will be interesting to see the reactions when/if some of the national guys visit this spring and summer.

The key for Auburn with Thomas and all the national guys is getting them on campus. Until they visit, I'd put Auburn's chances at below 25 percent.

Auburn would take a commitment from Smith right now but they would also want another quarterback with him since most, including me, project him as a WR or DB in college.

Auburn is recruiting Kohl Stewart (Texas A&M commit), Shane Morris (Michigan commit), Tyrone Swoopes (Texas commit) and Christian Hackenberg (Penn St commit) but I didn't include them in the article because I dont think Auburn has a legit shot at this time.
