BM, are both LB positions being equally recruited or is one more of a need than the other. ILB vs OLB.

Both about equal. Auburn would like to add a MLB in this class any many of their targets could play inside including Toney and Foster.

RIght now, I'd say Toney, Foster, Johnson and Claiborne but very early. Plus, Auburn only plans to sign 1-2 more linebackers in this class.

I don't have a clue of the chances, but I'd have to think that if there was ever a combination of defensive staff that would have a chance to flip the kid, we currently have that combination on staff right now. Particularly at the LB position.
CBVG - a proven collegiate level and pro level defensive coach that has a LB position coaching background; Thigpen - LB background as player & coach; Chizik - proven, excellent defensive coach; CWM - proven defensive coach.
Just gotta keep getting the kid on campus.

To be fair kids will take all the unofficial visits they can take within their financial means and location at any point in time because they are all fun. Hell I used to live going to any college that showed me a good time. The thing about foster is he grew up a bama fan and nick sabans ILBs have flourished in his system since McClain. Hightower will probably he another 1st rounder as well. Sabans defense is a proven commodity and auburns isn't yet. The kid could probably play for an nfl team right now so playing time isn't an issue regardless of where he goes.

No, I'm not racist at all. But, I noticed there are few if any of the top LB's that Auburn is after which are white. I wonder why that is...the white guys we've had at LB recently are Adam Herring (injury), Jake Holland (starter), the kid from Dothan who played a lot as a true freshman (concussion), the kid from Atlanta who quit (dad played with Roof), Will Herring (moved to safety).
In the 80's we had Greg Carr, Kevin Steele, and another guy. In the 90's we had Jason Miska, ....help me here.
Maybe I answered my own question.

Will started at LB to begin with...The reason you have no idea what pigment has to do with making tackles (and there was no need for the question mark in that statement) is because it has nothing to do with making tackles.
It was just an observation. So much is made of the lack of black (pigmented) players in baseball, so it seems politically correct that I can mention the lack of white LB's in the SEC. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

From all I have heard, he is one of Bama's biggest recruiters for the 2013 class. Much in the same way Geno Smith was for 2012. TIFWIW

I really hope we don't slow play Toney for a longshot like EJ Levenberry and then it end up costing us both. Cameron Toney would be a great pickup for us at a huge position of need.
