The more players we can get from the state of AL the better off we will be. The instate players get the rivalry and I wonder if the out of state guys get that sometimes. If he can play I hope we offer him. I also hope we get the QB/athlete from Mobile Lord knows we need to fight the fight in that city when it comes to recruiting. Don’t misunderstand I want the best players but winning the state is where it starts.

Every coach (except maybe T Bowden) said that you have to get the in-state guys first, then GA and FL, then cherry pick here and there to meet your needs. Must be something to it.

Coach Ansley has some really close ties to Tallassee. If Tennessee wants him bad enough it may be hard to sway him.

You are so right there friend - starting QB that took Tallassee to the state semi-finals. Ansley should have ended up at the plains but Tubbs snubbed him and he ended up at Troy - where he lead the nation in interceptions in his junior year. Glad Derrick is living his dream. Hope his influence doesn't keep Dijon from AU.
