Who you got?
OLB Kris Frost
MLB Jake Holland
OLB Jonathan Evans
I'll take that, but swap Bates for Evans/Frost. If Bates doesn't get a look at safety, which I doubt he does, then he will be a starting LB baring any injuries. You can't keep the returning leader in tackles from a year ago on the bench. He can fly to the ball if he can just get his head around the LB position. Same goes for Evans, but Bates is more athletic IMHO.

Interesting with garret on there. Not agreeing or disagreeing, he is forgotten about I feel like. I think it will be frost, holland, white...if bates gets to go back to safety.
what about jawara white at MLB he has good size
But.... That's as of now. With a good spring/fall showing it could be any combo of those mentioned above along with Frost, Landrum, Garrett, and Evans.
I think for the first game it will be Holland, Bates, and Evans. I think Frost will end up a starter by mid season though.
Not know CBCG's choice of personnel also makes this interesting. If Bates gets a look at safety, which I think is unlikely, so could Justin Garrett. After all, safety is the position bama and uga recruited him to play. I believe him to be bigger and more athletic/rangy anyway.
Frost is big and fast. He will start. No doubt in my mind. Holland in the middle since he lost his job last year only when he got hurt. I think jawara white gets the nod over evans. bates goes to strong safety. cbv wants to get bigger on defense. i can't wait for spring practice but i don't know how much either side of the ball will show in spring.
