I'm excited to see what Wallace can do with a chance. By all accounts he stood out from the second he stepped on campus last year but wasn't seen as a viable option until it was too late. Last year may have been very different had he been the guy from day one.

I would think that JJ's ceiling is so high that the others don't deserve to be in the same conversation, but I would expect that it will take JJ a little time to surpass where Wallace will be this fall. I would definitely LOVE to be wrong about that.

This. Plus Marshall is the wildcard, he will be on the field SOMEWHERE every game, no doubt about that.

It's going to take time to sort out the QB business. Auburn has two that have played, but, behind a line very talented, very young, and apparently not able to quickly latch on to an offensive scheme new to them with a new coordinator. Not their mistake. Look to the departed for that fiasco. In addition Auburn has talent that must have evaluation coming in August. Johnson has the build and talent to make any O. coordinator drool, and fans very interested to see what he can do at the college level. It probably won't be easy to make a quick decision regarding starter and back up. Not because of questionable talent. But, because they're all quality recruits. Fans shouldn't be upset over this. Lashlee and Malzahn will use the time it takes and not a bit more. Trust them. Some fans favor Johnson for a red shirt and their reason is convincing.

Coach Malzahn should begin now to manage expections for the near future. It will be no easy task to turn AU football around. He needs time. Hope we can all be patient.
