Speculation Heating Up

  • I have no personal knowledge of this, but am hearing a lot from others who contend that they do. Any chance that Hart may flip to AU and bring Clinton-Dix? I hesitate to ask that question here but am seeing it a talked about elsewhere.

    It actually almost worries me. Can you imagine the pure satan-based hatred that would stir up in some Alabama faithful?

    I mean, the kind of hatred that would make people go to great lengths to conjure up problems for our program. As nice as it would be, I would almost be afraid of what it could drive people to do in retaliation.

    Awe heck, never mind....bring 'em on. They already took their best shot at us this year with the Cam situation. And we promptly won the national title in response.

  • Keep in mind this is all speculation. In other words we all hear something big is going to happen. People start saying "wow...what if xyz happens?"

    Then someone goes on another board and says "hey, not sure if this is true, but people are speculating that xyz could happen...what about that?"

    By the time it hits another message board it looks like the post that started this thread. All I'm saying is to remember its all speculation...and I would be beyond shocked if we flip Hart and Clinton-Dix...that would be ridonkulous!

    Regardless of whether that happens or not...we have an AMAZING recruiting class coming together here...can't wait until Feb 2nd!

    ha ha...ridonkulous I think war eagle 28 was trying to spell ridiculus and he gets another +1...heck, I can't spell it either.

    Actually...I had been spelling ridiculous wrong for my entire life until this year. I spelled it with an "e" like most people do. Then I just happened to be on the Urban Dictionary and saw a funny post about about rediculous...and after that my brain was actually able to comprehend that ridiculous was not spelled with an "e".

    ...then spelling ridiculous became rather boring for me. I considered returning to my previous miss-spelling (rediculous) but decided that if I continued to miss-spell words, people would think I was ridiculous. ...after some deep meditation, which didn't help me at all with my problem, I was talking with my friend when he just so happened to throw the word "ridonkulous" out in a conversation. Immediately I just knew....nay....I felt....I felt that it was right. I had found my word....and my word is RIDONKULOUS!

    ....wth is wrong with me....

  • Lol this reminds me of an experiment my 6th grade teacher did way back when on rumors......we had about 25 people in class......she told the first student in the first chair "apples are red" and to pass it back to the kid behind him.....he passed it back and on it went around the room. By the time it got to the last kid she asked him what it was.....he kind of hesitated but loudly said " Mrs ----- is a giant poop head" I will never forget this and always reminds me of how silly rumors are at times. No offense to the first poster or anyone else who post things like this.....hell if I had heard something like this I would probably post it as well cause you never know and thats what boards like these are for.....to discuss issues or possibilities as it is fun to do. cheers

    I'm thinking that "It actually almost worries me" is the target of coach Chizik's "medium plan goal". Ten years from now Auburn folks won't worry or use conjunctions like "but". I know, I know....I've tried not to drink the kool-aid for so long. Our coaches continue to to make my jaw drop at every corner!

  • I very seriously doubt that Hart would have committed to another school so quickly if he had second thoughts. That being said, I think Hart is a great RB, one we would love to have, but he is not going to flip flop. He sealed his fate when he left Michigan......

  • Living in Orlando, where my son (an AU grad) attended the same school as Hart and Clinton-Dix (Dr Phillips High School), I would be thrilled if this happened. I followed these guys all year for the most successful year ever for this school....all the way to the state championship game (they lost).
    It is interesting that several recent past and current DPHS students have gone to or committed to Colorado St.....odd for kids from a hot weather school
