I thought we made some good strides Saturday night. Yes there is a lot of work to be done to becoming a great defense, but we are heading in the right direction. After getting home from the game, the next day I watched it again. I was really pleased with just the way the front 7 lined up at times. We would have 6 on the line of scrimmage and either blitz or a couple would back off. I like the mixup, keep them guessing. I got so tired of seeing that base look of 4 linemen, 3 linebackers, and then the secondary where we didn't disguise our defensive look. Slowly we will get comfortable and get there. Thoughts????
Did you see how often our DE's were in the back field? If we can keep that up and just keep the line a lot tighter, all we'd have to worry about is the secondary then... But from the the looks of things, not many drop back/immobile QB's are going to have that much time... WDE
