I rarely start threads but I am curious what the board thinks about expectations for the Defense this year?

Haven't seen anyone really remark lately much about what they think we're going to look like versus last year. Here's my best guess....

1. More experience. We lost very little off of last years D. Everyone coming back is bigger, stronger and more experienced. That experience should allow the D Line to play better, get up field and generally make everyone behind them better because they'll win the math at the line of scrimmage.

2. Coaching Styles. It seemed painfully apparent at times last year that our 'plan' on the defensive side of the ball was out of phase and lacking any cohesiveness. Does CBVG arrival solve that? I'm saying that he's a better mesh with Chizik's style than Roof was.

3. Does CSL's Offensive style take some of the pressure off of the Defense? Not totally sure what his style will be.

There are other factors I'm sure.... just seeing what the big brains out there think!
