  • I really think Frankie is hurting the team.. He tries to do to much one on ones and carry the team. I think Barbee is on point when he says Frankie sees the end. Another thing that is hurting us is our point guard play. Josh wallace, although a great guy and student, is not cutting it. He is not an offensive threat. He doesn't have a jumper and he is shooting 33 percent from the field with only 8 3pt shot attempts! That's terrible. Plus he can't shoot free throws when he gets fouled. I love Frankie and Josh but I really feel like once they leave after this year we will see what we have been waiting for. He will have his guys that he has recruited in there and KT Harrell, the transfer from Virginia will be able to play. Also, once ATD gets in the weight room and develops some touch around the rim, he will be a force. WDE!

  • I'm not sure Barbee actually has another year.... Progressive improvement can be an argument foe patience but I'm not seeing any from season to season or within this season.

  • News flash to Coach Barbee-your 3-8 (losers of 8 of the last 9 SEC games) in what I would say is a down year in the SEC. This is your 3rd season at Auburn, and we just fired a football coach after his 4th year that won a NC in his 2nd year. Under your tenure, Auburn basketball has not improved on the court or in the perception of the national media. For 3 years under your tenure, Auburn has been out rebounded, committed more turnovers, been one of the worst free throw shooting teams in the conference. You continue to blame your team and players in the media. The first half of a basketball game is all about emotion and riding the runs- the second half is about adjustments and coaching! This is where Auburn falls short. For those who blindly support you-I don't understand it. I could take the time to note your 3 year overall record at Auburn and your 3 year SEC record- but what's the point? In your 3 years-you've taken Auburn basketball from the basement to the cellar. Down vote me if you wish, but I ask that you tell me which part of this post is inaccurate. Here's hoping for a change and a better Auburn basketball product on the court-WDE!!!!!!

  • The only thing worse than Auburn basketball was Auburn football. At least bb doesn't get blown off the court by every decent team.

    Auburn has much better facilities than most of the teams they lose to. Auburn spends more on coaching and administration than almost all those teams.

    Conclusion, something is missing at Auburn. I think it starts in the Athletic Department. I don't know that as a fact but that is where the buck stops.

    I agree, I am not seeing any improvement. We have gotten some decent players but not any that can come in and make a difference. Look all over the country and you see freshman making a big impact. Most of Our recruits coming in are not even making a big impact on their high school team. Looking at the direction we are going I am not sure how bright the future looks. Hope i am wrong, I really would love some good basketball at AU.

  • Nothing left to say about this team. If TB gets this year as a sort of pass...He better cme out and win some damn games next year. The rehtoric is getting old. At some point you have to stop pointing fingers and shut your mouth and get to work. That time has come and is now fleeting away.

    I didnt have hopes of a Natty in his third year. But my hopes were higer than losing 8-9 in conf play with another L comming up on Sat...And that one wont be as close as this one. I would say Fla hangs a 100 spot on us and we may get to 50..At home none the less!

    No matter the sport or time of year it is always great to be an Auburn Tiger...But this is getting very very old. Do we need to wait four or five more seasons? Because at our current improvement level..We will be .500 in conf in 5 years!

    Not blasting you. Glad someone has a positive outlook to off set my overwhelming negative outlook on this team..I just dont see the things that make other teams good going on at AU right now.

I haven't seen any good coaching in the 3 years he has been here. His downfall will be the 7-10 players he has run off. Everyone keeps defending Barbee and saying "Who would come here"? Well, trust me, a guy off the street can luck up and win 3 SEC games a year. You don't think1.5-2 million a year will draw some attention? Money talks and BS walks! Every time! Keep defending a coach that can't get the job done. You can give this man 4 more years and it won't happen except for the slight chance of sheer luck. How long does it take for people to realize this? So you still think Barbee is the greatest coach ever just like people defended Chiz and staff? Keep pissing on people's leg and tell em it's raining!

  • Another athletic event and another loss. It really is a sad state of affairs. What do they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome? Insanity. I think we need to change something, and I think that change should start at the very top. We need a bumper sticker that says "Honk if you have been to an Auburn athletic event and we won.''

    I'm with you. I criticized you earlier this year and I was wrong to do so. I really thought he was about to turn a corner with this team. My apologies. I wish you were not right and we did turn that corner, but the reality is WE SUCK!
