Bryan....How many of the 25% of the "lost" recruits/players has the AU staff been able to replace? (Doesn't Saban seem to root out lesser players to make room for better ones?) Thanks for looking at this.

Bryan, these comments are a stroke of genius coming at a time when reason for what we are is not that easily seen and from the reading of things is offten missed. I don't expect it to be the whole story, only a very factual account of part of the story and regafrdless of what is disclosed, you could have no idea.how grateful I am. It was a very good day for AUC readers and for AUC when you were hired Sir.

Go ahead and compare the current offensive woes to those the year we beat MSU 3 - 2, also. That was a horrid year and it made a good staff look like they were lost.

I'm sorry Bryan but this has nothing to do with it. The 2 WRs wouldn't have got any more coaching than Coates, Reed, etc. Dyer would have helped, but he is no Cam Mewton. I guess my point is, 7 more players wouldn't have turned this season around, IMO, with the coaching we have in place. This staff does not deserve the benefit of the doubt. We will prob start hearing these excuses come out of the coaches mouths soon. Makes me want to puke. Thank you for your unparralleled recruiting expertise. AUC is lucky to have you!

Those things have to be corrected before they happen. The drops, the penalties, etc.

That is the whole problem with this year. Coaches obviously don't know what to do. They keep changing players, formations, anything - to try to win.

On the job training doesn't work in surgery, nor does it work in the SEC. We need a staff that has the right plan, one they can stick to.

Attrition is not the only problem but it is a part of the overall picture. By the way, Pike is a tight end.

After watching the game again yesterday I think we are making progress. I know it is not the popular opinion but I see us improving defensively . Two freak plays( a poorly thrown pass into triple coverage and a Dyer type run) accounted for over 100 yds of the offense against us. Take away the gift TD on the snap and those 2 plays and we win. There is not much help for our offense this year because what we need is a stronger more experienced offensive line that will only get better with the passing of time. I dont think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out this was the reason no top notch OC wanted the job. SL can coach QB's and has installed a great offense before and if he and the staff return it will be much better next year.If not whoever the new OC is will be dealt a better hand!! IMO the worst thing GC has done is not recruit some JC OL to fill the void that we have. 2 true freshman starters at RT and a redshirt freshman backed up by a true freshman at LT is a recipe for disaster. GC may well be fired at seasons end but it is my hope that we beat Vandy and finish with 5 or more wins and play competitively against UGA and UA and then keep things in place for another year. The QB will work itself out as our OL gets more physical and mature and we seem to be adressing the other areas of concern thru this years recruiting. I think if the staff stays intact we will prolly see a JC QB and/or JC OT added to our recruiting haul. It will work itself out but I hope we dont get hysterical and make changes based on outside influences to the long term detriment of our program.
