If the conference is realigned after expansion, I really don't think Auburn and uat would be placed in different divisions. Even Mike Slive is not that stupid, and it would probably require at least a two-thirds vote, if not a unanimous vote from each university president, and/or AD. The schools would not vote to do this. Assuming that TAMU is a shoo-in, it is just as likely that the second team would come from the ACC, as it is for someone like Oklahoma to make the move. In fact, I think it is more likely someone from the ACC, like FSU or VA Tech, would be invited and come, before OK. If that happened to be the case, then TAMU would be added to the West, and the former ACC team would be placed in the East, and the conference would not require realignment. I guess we'll have to wait and see, the possibilities are so vast. No one, a year and a half ago, would have believed that Nebraska would be in the Big 10 this year, or that Utah and Colorado would cause the Pac 10 to revise its name.

If AU moves to the east the Iron Bowl cnnot be the last reg season game. You cannot end the reg season with a team you could play in the title game so the choice would be to swap the uga game and the uat game or make uat a rotating game.

No way Auburn moves to the East & bama stays in the west ... bama vs UT is as important to those two schools as AU/UGa is to us. Since you can't have two permanent rivals (didn't work with 12 teams & makes less sense at 14 or 16) bama & Auburn can't split ... it's that simple! IMO, further speculation in that direction is pointless.
