I talked to Shon tonight and he told me that he is a go for this spring, will be full speed/contact. Just thought I'd pass that along.
Didn't mention anything about scholly or walk-on though.

I hope that ends up being true. I'm sure Shon Coleman believes that. I hope that he makes it on the field eventually. I want the kid to play at least one down against somebody. I think that would be a huge victory for Shon and the Auburn family! Not that I want to sell the kid either, but his story with Coach Gene Chizik will be a great recruiting tool in the future. How many NCAA head coaches would have stayed with the kid this long even though Shon hasn't been able to play yet at all. I also hope that the NCAA will let Shon play four full years if he recovers well enough to play again. I know they take some things into consideration, and I can't think of anything more worthy of consideration than a life and death battle against cancer.

Absolutely. Great news. Couldn't care less if he ever plays another down of football in his life. I hope he's able to, but the fact that he is very close to being fully healthy is awesome. God is good.

Hope that is correct for Shon. He is obviously a brave and non-stop fighter. Our family underwent a cancer battle last year and it is not fun. Shon - we are with you however far you make it back to normal. You are an inspiration to all. It is great to have you as a part of the AU family.

What this kid has overcome is amazing and I wish him nothing bu the best. Football player or not, I'm glad Shon is part of the Auburn family.
