  • Have us a 4 point underdog. I expected more like 2pts, but either way, don't mind playing the underdog. Still, we did beat two teams they lost to.

  • This is just another example of why I don't like Boise being in the discussion for the title game.

    We are 11-0 in the SEC, yet our schedule is such that we are a dog on the road.

    So for the whole year, they have played only one team that is supposed to stay within TWO TOUCHDOWNS of them? Only three teams are within THREE touchdowns of them?

    This may be the clearest example of why who you play is all the difference. Nearly everyone Boise plays stands virtually no chance of actually winning the game.

    Auburn, on the other hand, has faced 9 teams that actually had a chance of actually winning the game (Ole Miss proved that point at LSU Saturday).

  • Yes, the entire BCS system is a complete joke. I looked at the announcement of the 20 teams that were seeded in the FCS playoff system yesterday, and marveled at how efficiently that division determines its NC.

    The way I look at Auburn right now is simply this. We know the system is completely unfair. However, in my mind the playoff for a NC has now begun. There are 8 teams in the NC hunt. Our first playoff game is with UA. Our second playoff game is with SC. Our third playoff game will be for the NC. As I have said many times before, if we had an outstanding D, we would be the odds-on favorite to win those three games.

    The fact that we have been named underdogs against UA tells you what the experts think about our Defense.

    The question is, will our D rise way above their normal level of play, as they did in last year's Iron Bowl, the rest of the season? If they do, we can pull this thing off. If, on the other hand, our D plays like they have most of the season and give up 21 first quarter points, etc., then I'm afraid the oddsmakers will be proven correct.

    Our defense is what it is and to be honest I wouldn't swap em for nobody.Their AUBURN MEN by dam. That should be enough for the AUBURN FAMILY........WAR DAM EAGLE....BEAT bama!!!!!!!!!!
