The way I see this is this: I would love to get Arik due to his potential but he really doesn't fit our defensive system as an end and he doesn't want to play offense. He would do better in a 3-4 defense as a big end and his home is a long way away. For our hat to be on the table today says a lot about our coaches and Auburn.

Hopefully at the end of today we will have some good news to smile about and to give us some momentum heading into the final stretch.

That seems totally logical.

Sometimes, recruiting decisions defy logic but most of the time you got a pretty good hunch beforehand what the outcome will likely be and more times than not it happens that way..

Occasionally one is fooled...but with Arik and his dad, it seems like they are pretty well ensconced in the West Coast and this is what most people expect.

Feel the same about Armstead and Kozan that you do. 50-50 on Kozan (only because he really likes Iowa) and being realistic not much hope with Armstead.

If Armstead in fact chooses Auburn it would completely transform my perception of recruiting and convince me that AU has hands down the most powerful recruiters in the entire nation!
