Maybe they should return to the leather helmet days... sounds crazy, but it would cut down on helmets being used as weapons.
Orange and Blue like the Auburn sky, War Eagle till the day I die.
WE COMING . WAR EAGLE !
This is clearly an overstepping analogy to due to an unfortunate death of a great ex-football player. Yes some players' brains turn to mush after a career of football, but I do not think it is an epidemic. The helmet needs to be softened on the outside. And there are plenty of materials (gels) that can be used instead of hard plastics. This alone would probably eliminate 75% of head trauma resulting from helmet to helmet contact (My common sense "guess"tamation). Neck injuries might increase if the helmet is soften, but I am sure that can be address too,
You people can't be serious.
Let them play the damn game, and bust the hell out of each other. If you can't handle playing the game, try something else like working an 8-5 every day for 40 years.
