Is there any truth that a lot of season ticket holders are considering not renewing their tickets until Jacobs is fired? Its seems to be spreading in the Dothan area that this is the case. I was wondering if any of you have heard the same thing.

Does not appear to be the case to me. I was selecting my season tickets on-line yesterday and there are no seats available in the higher price or premium seating other than a few singles here and there. Personally I would never, not support my University and my team because of an individual I did not like. (Not saying I like or dislike Jacobs.) There is no question however that the combination of tough economic times, high prices and the past 6 years (other than 2010) of less than average Auburn teams has an affect. For all the talk of people not going to fill the stadium in media outlets like Bham, I was very pleasantly surprised at how many people showed up for games last year knowing we might get embarrassed. They may not have stayed for the entire game and tickets were difficult to sell but the fans did show up for a terrible team.
I have been to several hundred college games including 50-70 Alabama games and 20 or so at Georgia and have seen their stadiums half full when they are not winning so considering everything that has happened in recent Auburn history, our fan base is very supportive. Just my two cents.

Went through the seat relocation process for the second time. Last year there was almost no availablility on the sideline lower bowl. This year there have been several hundred seats vacated and taken over by new occupants. All those seats show up as yellow on the Section views at the relocation website. I was surprised by the number.
Because of people moving out of the upper deck to the lower bowl I was able to relocate in the upper deck from between the 20 & 25 to row 2 between the 35 & 40.

Thanks for the responses guys. I also believe that it isn't right to punish the program even further by not renewing your season tickets so that you can make a statement about the current Athletic Director. Emails in abundance to the president might make the same statement (certainly not as strong) without hurting the football team. Obviously I believe in 'to each their own' and people are more than welcome to make up their own minds as to how best remove what they consider a problem but I also caution them to think about the health of the program as a whole. Cutting off a significant amount of the funds could put the program further behind.
Remember Mal Moore had a noose around his neck when he got nick, Hell, he was still walking the Green Mile for a year or so after he hired saban. Now they'll find a way to put him in the Bryant Museum. Not that I like Jay all that much, Just saying....
I just work with new sales but we have sold around 1,000 new TUF seats for this year. Almost all of the lower level will be TUF.
If this happens it would be another case of Auburn fans making it harder on themselves. Buy the tickets if you can afford them and support the team; you help them win more than JJ. He hired Chizik who won a BCSNC in his second year and fired him at the end of the worst season in a long time if not ever. If he had fired GC in mid season the results would have been the same, so when he was fired is irrelevant. TB was fired (or did he quit? who cares) in mid-season and nothing changed with Brother Oliver at the helm. It's a game for pete's sake. Enjoy it now that things are "NEW" and see what happens. Lose the "mob" mentality....it doesn't make things better; it makes them worse.
For most of us that have been in the TUF and the old GAF for enough years to be high enough up the priority list to have gotten tickets for the National Championship game in 2010, not renewing would be extremely stupid to do...just because we didn't like an AD. Unless you don't want to support AU anymore OR the money is an issue.
For myself and my wife and son... I think we would have a yard sale and get rid of something before not renewing our tickets!
