Forgive me PM if I seem as though I'm trying to speculate through your words: From what I can tell of what Phillip has said, it seems as though the "BOOM" hire as it were would be from the college ranks. Remember, TOS reported that this individual had a stipulation included with hiring a new AD. The AD we have now has not been relieved nor has our current head coach.

From there, keep in mind that they said there was a big "IF" involved with the possible candidate. Phillip has also stated that you never know what individual could be interested in a new job even if he is from a big time historic successful program and he is still currently prospering.

When you look at all of those factors, it does not seem to be a possible NFL hire. In addition, it seems to be somebody who is currently in the college ranks who is unhappy about something where they are. TOS and Phillip as well have been unanimous saying the name would be celebrated and even a couple of people (Not sure on Phillip in this matter) he is a household name.

In my mind, that leaves me with the notion that one of the top college coaches is unhappy with something where he is currently. Now, who that person is from all of those factors would be still be major speculation. The best names I have come up with so far under this criteria would be Bob Stoops, Chip Kelly, James Franklin though I'm not sure about him being a household name, Brian Kelly, Schneider from Kansas St., Frank Beamer, and possibly more but that's all I've got at the moment that I can readily think of right now.
