Who are the big names everyone wants us to go after?

JF - was an OC just three years ago hardly a proven coach and not a BIG name.
GP - has a great record but his stats are padded by WAC & Mountain West competition. He may be a great coach but certainly not proven as it relates to any major conference competition. Thus I would concur he is not a BIG name.
BP - The most proven head coach of the bunch but his record against the SEC Big 6 is 7-10. His biggest wins at Louisville were Boise '04, UNC '05, and Miami '06 on top of his record he is a sleezy Pete. Definitely the BIG name of the bunch but is he really a BIG name coach?
Stoops - now that would be a BIG name but is he really coming to AU from OU without being asked to leave? He has been there for 14 years and that's an eternity in the current coaching landscape.

Someone please tell me the big names that we should be offering to be our head coach?

Seriously? When nicky retires, who do you think will be at the top of the list to replace him? We snatch him up out from under them = smart move by us.

Several bama fans in my area at work are always asking me have I heard anything about who our next HC will be not exactly with a smirk but certainly not with any expectations we'll make a great hire. Got the same questions today and I told them it looks like Kirby is moving up the ranks and could be our next HC - faces fell instantly - loved it.
