"There's no doubt, we're going up."
Obviously, I hope he is back next year. That being said, either way, we are still going to be running back University with or without him. The stable we will have next year, we can afford to be very demanding of our backfield. I think if anything else, this is the one position we have on this team where we don't have to put up with anyone's crap. If they don't want to act right, NEXT.
I obviously have never met MD, and don't claim to know any more then what I have read. Mrs. Malzan was quoted as saying he was an extremely confident young man, of which, I take to mean cocky. I don't fault someone for being cocky and a football player. To some degree, I want them to be cocky. Confidence is a good thing. I don't however want it to become a source of distraction and facilitate a theme of "I am most important" syndrome. I have heard and read several people say just that about MD. As to his academics, I wouldn't know. I would however, be very concerned if he was a non-qualifier seeing as how big a name he is. When you are a big name and represent the university, it does no one any good to show you didn't live up to your end of the bargain.
Newbie here so go easy.... If the "cancer" rumor is true about Dyer, maybe that explains why he has not been played as much last part of season, the coaches trying to make a point to him that he has to be a team player or suffer consequences. I have wondered as others have why he hasn't been used as much lately.
