Ron - for your consideration

  • I know that this is strictly a business decision but I'd like to request that you reconsider the 30-day free trials and reduce it to 7 days (or at least down to 14 days). I'd love to see a blackout period the week of NSD but know that probably isn't feasible. People can sign up for a month, cause all kinds of ruckus, cancel, then sign up again under a new email address. As a loyal subscriber to AUC, I find it annoying that people can come here for a whole month and get free insider info and we still have to pay for the whole month. Think it might weed out some of the trolls if they have to make a financial commitment. If they pay, then they have as much right to post what they want as we do but if they're on a free ride, not so much.

    Agree 100%. It always hacks me off to see someone else enjoying something for free that I am paying for. I don't know how many sign up because of the free trial, but it makes me want to drop out. At least the faithful subscribers should be get a free month or something. It would be less expensive to drop out and re-up each year.

  • I'm one of the 30 day guys (and this is the first time i've posted). I assumed you regulars got the month for free as well. It makes total sense if you guys have to put up with a plethora of ignorant comments for a month, as opposed to the normal amount of ignorant comments. :)

    Maybe a good compromise would be 15 days free for newbies (which includes NSD), and a free month or half price month for regular subscribers.

  • Agree 100%. I've been a member for a while but rarely post. Over the past couple of weeks, I've even logged on less as the comments from the trolls became more and more annoying. It's gotten so bad that I usually only read the articles from PM and BM. Anything to limit the ruckus a bit would be appreciated.
