At the time I noticed it, and thought it was odd. Now that more things are coming out and Heath Evans is speaking out, it all makes sense. I have a feeling that BVG saw what HE saw and was hoping to change the culture, at least on the defensive side of the ball. I wonder if the oddities at who is playing and who isn't, is an extension of this. All of those things that we were wondering - why is Florence not playing, where is Therezie, where is Frost, etc? Wondering if some of those can be answered with BVG trying to stand strong with not putting up with those that want to compromise? Auburn football has fallen so far so fast. We have gone from 60 to 0 in a NY minute. Very sad indeed. While I do believe our defense has had its fair share of poor play, I also believe BVG is the right guy to get our defense back in shape. But when the head coach doesn't back the cultural changes BVG is trying to make, it cripples BVGs abilities to make a difference. Interesting the Therezie wanted to move to offense. We all know that Chizik is really the OC. Sounds like Chizik puts up with things BVG doesn't. Funny how things eventually all make sense.
