2013 LB Trey Johnson, Auburn commit
“That’s a good hire and I’m cool with him. I haven’t talked to him yet but from what I hear, he’s supposed to be the best of the best. My trainer is a big Georgia fan and he told me that when he was at Georgia, that was when Georgia had probably the best defense in the nation. All the stuff I’m hearing about him is real good.”
CB T.J. Davis, Auburn commit
“I don’t know too much about him but I know he was good with the Atlanta Falcons. You have to be a pretty good coach to coach in the NFL. He will bring a lot of NFL experience to the Auburn Tigers. He has a lot of knowledge about what it takes to get to the NFL.”
CB Jonathan Jones, Auburn commit
“Anytime you can hire somebody from the next level, it’s a good hire. He’s had a good record and is a good defensive coach. I’m pretty excited about getting a chance to meet him and work with him. He’s been where we’re trying to get. He’ll be a good person to give you advice and he seems like a great coach.”
DL Gimel President, Auburn commit
“I think it’s good. I didn’t know much about him but getting a guy from the NFL means we can do a lot more things. I like the Falcons defense and how they ran their defensive line.”
