Auburn had extensive telephone contact over 13 months with parents of former football players reportedly dissatisfied about communication they received from coaches, according to phone records obtained by the Opelika-Auburn News.
But Phillip lets not let the facts get in the way for a good story for the national media. It boogles my mind how people can report such false informaiton and keep their job. In the business I work in if I defamed or reported such inaccurate information I would lose my job. In the media they get rewarded for this lack of integrity. It is a shame that a few make the entire field of journalism look foolish. In healthcare there are independent organizations that monitor and report on quality results and patient satisfaction of hospitals to hold them accountable for there actions. I think you should start such a organization for journalism to protect the integrity or your chosen field.
Do you think that ESPN will edit and add this new information to their program before they air it? When given the true facts and evidence of phone records, one would think that ESPN would be embarassed to air a show with known lies. It would make them look even more amateurish. I saw a preview on the local news and Mosely was giving some of this false info mentioned in the article.
Thanks for sharing Phillip. It is a shame this will never go any further than the OA News. I am sure none of the "sensationalistic" (not sure that is a real word but it sure fits in this situation lol) reporters (and I use this word very loosely) would ever want these FACTS to get out! WDE
