Ramblings....

  • 1) Saw a pic yesterday of Greg Robinson - this youngster is the broadest OT I've seen at AU since Willie Anderson. A monster.

    2) Heard that Corey Grant has absolutely torn it up on scout team this year. Should be fastest player on team. That's fast.

    3) JaQuay Williams is a more important recruit to our offense than Yeldon. We haven't signed a WR of his ability in a long time - since Ronnie Daniels. Also important to keep our class in tact and moving forward. We will start looking more like LSU at WR next year with Coates, Denson, JaQuay, and Ricardo Louis.

    4) I'd love to get Stoops and flip Justin Shanks and land Goldman. That would be a coup.

    5) Ready to see Erique Florence after a spring and summer. All-America ability

    Shanks had a great junior year. Coasted his senior year until playoffs where he dominated. Not sure if he had nagging injuries or what. No doubting his ability.

    Overall, not a bad post...I was almost tempted to give you an upvote...but then my better instincts kicked in and I clicked on that pretty red arrow instead.

    Only thing I would disagree on is that BM has said we are not recruiting Shanks anymore. Now, I don't know if his playoff performance changed the coaches' minds any, but I'd be surprised if we flip Shanks. He seems to be pretty excited about FSU.

    I believe you are right about JaQuay being more important than Yeldon. Perception is the biggest blow we took when Yeldon flipped, but we have a great backfield without him.

    Yeldon is in a another class compared to Williams... Both are very good...but Yeldon can start next year.

    Maybe start at bammer, not so sure about him starting if he was at Auburn we have some good backs who couldn't play this year.

    He won't start at either Auburn or uat next year. Period. He's a very good prospect but both programs have 4 and 5 star backs already in the program and he's got some things to correct and learn.

    Neither program have a JaQuay talent at wideout in the program. Who was more important - Lawyer Tillman or Sherman Williams who held state rushing records?
