Question re: Robinson

I've read several different places that Jovon Robinson lacks "elite" speed. The dude looks pretty dang fast to me. Is he like Marcus Lattimore fast--quick through the hole but maybe not a home run threat?

I think so, too. For weeks I've been trying to understand why that's the persistent criticism of him. Thanks for the reply, Bryan. Look forward to the article.

You don't have to have ridiculous speed to be a very successful running back. Look at Emmitt Smith, leading rusher in the NFL of all time. He didn't have elite speed but he certainly got 5 yards a run and popped a few every now and then.
I expect Jovon to run between the tackles for us and that is what we really need.

Are these the same people that said Cam wouldn't make in the NFL? Sheesh! Don't worry how fast he is in print, just watch his speed on the field. I saw him play, and he seemed pretty fast to me against a pretty good HS team.
