I have the 4 and really like it. Main difference between them is speed and voice options. I'd get the S if I were doing it over.

4S if you are a business type person or do a lot of work with your schedule, as Siri is truly an assistant. As stated already its faster and has a better camera.

I used the 4 for a year and last week purchased the 4s. They might look alike before you crank 'em up, but underneath the hood they are leagues apart.

Right off you notice the resolution being much better with the 4s. And, it is indeed faster. And, Siri is worth the price of admission. But, one of the big advantages of the 4s over the 4 is the new antennae system. With the 4, you must have a plastic cover around the outside edge to prevent dropping calls... holding the outer band shorts the signal. Apple even supplied a case free of charge to take care of this shortcoming. Apple reworked the whole antennae system in the 4s... no problem at all... no need for a cover.

The HD 720p movie making is a big boost for the 4s... as well as the 8mp still pictures. It is a good point and shoot camera now... with face recognition.

If you don't have either one now, then by all means, buy the 4s. If you do have the 4... yes, it is worth upgrading. It's an all new iPhone under the hood.

There is $100 price difference between the 4 and the 4s. As a previous poster stated they may look the same, but under the hood the 4s is a huge step up.

The contract upgrade lasts 24 months. Is it worth $4 a month to have a phone that has vastly superior hardware?

Thanks, You all have provided some really great info..... I even thought about waiting on the Iphone 5 but im sure the price will be outrageous and i think the 4s will fit my needs perfectly. Asking Siri to read my updated schedule to me while driving is gonna be awesome! Anyway, thanks again.
