Auburn coach Gene Chizik postgame press conference following Arkansas' 24-7 win over Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 by AuburnUndercover.com.
What I find troubling is Chizik had no answers
"Alabama fans love Alabama football, Auburn fans love Auburn" -- Patrick Fain Dye
Started at the bottom, now we here.....better get used to it.
I Believe Auburn and Love IT...4 Life!
You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
Maybe if Chiz showed some fire the coaches might. The team has taken on his low key demeanor. I'm growing weary of his stay-the-course message.
War Damn Eagle always
Over? Did you say over? It's not over until we say it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell NO!!!
This is what bothers me about Chizik....He honestly thought that the last two weeks they had good practices. Obviously he has no idea how to motivate the players to the next level for game-day. If they practice like they play on Saturdays I wonder what he thinks is good?
He is a very good Coach. His accomplishments to date from being a graduate assistant to defensive coordinator alone prove that much. Is he best suited for this head coaching job? I'm not sure. I do know that we could do a hell of a lot worse. I also know that very talented people, regardless of their profession, sometimes slip or make the wrong call (wrong hires etc). Its human nature that after having had success some are very reluctant to admit and correct decisions that looking back have had unintented results. I will say this though, CGC has represented AU well. Outside of this team's performance, he has never embarrassed AU in any way. He asked us to trust him during the media firestorm surrounding 2010 & Cam. We did trust him and in the end it was clear that he was a capable captain with great integrity. Does the jockey that wins the KY Derby suddenly become the worst jockey available if he places last in the Preakness? Regardless of the horse he rides, the jockey has still proven that he knows how to finish the race if he has the right horse. CGC knows what it takes to win the race. I dont have issue with anyone making the argument that there should be a change.....however, I won't say that this man is a "bad" or "horrible" coach because that isnt the case and in my opinion we owe the coach that degree of respect. I felt the same way about Coach Tuberville. Tubs was probably burnt out at AU and probably needed a change, but i'll never forget those 6 iron bowls, 2004, 5 first round piccs, and that incredible win in the swamp. Same here.
L M A O. There are times that he looks so out of it.
