It pains me to hear from the recruits that the competing schools continue to use lie to recruits about Auburn being on the doorstep of probation. The same negative recruiting tactics were used by ASU to seal the deal on the Westerman transfer. I do understand that it's part of the game, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. The reason I bring it up isn't to whine about it, it's rather to serve as contrast to the positive recruiting that Gus and the gang is doing. The best the NE site could do to give an example of Auburn using negative recruiting was to quote an unnamed staff member as saying that NE is a long way from FL and the roads get icy. Well, no $h1t. If that's the worst our guys are doing I'll sleep at night with a clear conscience. I am submitting this post to applaud the excellent job our guys are doing to promote our program the right way. We don't need kids to come to Auburn because they are led to believe something may be amiss elsewhere, we need them to come because they want to be a vital part of the best program in the nation. I am pleased that that is what our guys are selling.
