The new coach always says the same things: Gonna work hard, turn things in the right direction, win championships. We're gonna play hard and have fun, etc., etc. That's all they can say, of course, but it's just so predictable.
Then the athletic dept. makes a few players available who they know ahead of time will be 100% positive about the new regime. The guys are always "excited" and "ready to get to work." No one ever expresses any doubt or anxiety at all about the new guy.
Again, there really isn't any other way to do things, but the fact that you see the same thing play out no matter when or where a new coach is hired is amusing. The fans eat it up, but the fact is that he would be saying the same things if he were being introduced at Tennessee or Arkansas tonight.

You must be a joy to live with.
