I don't imagine that 2012 will be included on Loefler's personal resume. IMHO, I don't think he was playing with a complete deck of cards. Almost all the positions were in transition -- especially at quarterback. Also, he was installing a new offense. The first game showed some signs of success, but it also revealed the most major flaw -- a disconnect between the QB and his receivers. As that situation did not improve, then more and more of his offense was eliminated. As with any occupation -- success breeds boldness and innovation, but defeat brings refining backwards and doubt. That we saw a plenty in 2012. Loefler just may have great seasons ahead of him as soon he is blessed with the right guys for his offensive scheme.
