One of the only differences between Chizik's recruiting and Saban's recruiting (in both of their first 3 recruiting classes) is that Chizik refused to sign more than a few players out of Junior College to fill immediate experience/age needs. Saban saw the holes in his rosters (both in youth/experience and in numbers) and he went after more top notch JUCO talent to fill those needs--especially sprinkled through his first 3 recruiting classes at UA.
Chizik, on the other hand, chose to go a different route--given that he resigned Fairly, signed Cam Newton, and Brandon Mosely (other than that, not many if any). I believe that this could have been a short-term loss in hopes of a long term gain for Chizik--who has filled this team full of young, promising talent but little to bridge the gap with the upperclassmen.
To me, it makes sense that this team would still be struggling to fight during games--especially in light of the tough schedule. I believe that this team will grow up and learn to fight in the 2nd half.
However, I wonder if Chizik might have dug himself a possible dangerous hole by an unwillingness to, dare I say, recruit some more highly talented juco players (like Saban) to bridge the gap in age/experience on our football team.
Just a thought. We may have to hang in there, as AU fans, a little longer than we are comfortable with in order to see Chizik's vision for the future of the program. I just hope that fans WILL hang in there and stop loosing their heads about the 0-2 start.
I'm surrendering any hopes for a New Year's bowl and am committed to enjoying the process of watching these young players grow up in front of all of our eyes. ALL IN!!!

CGC has missed is opportunity to have this team competative in every game. Everyone knew Arkansas wasn't going to be the same without Petrino. To put it simply my seventy old mother said this 2012 team looks no better than a high school team. This team has no discipline to their job correctly with a sense of urgency. I have little exspectation from this team this year. I hope JJ get smart and talk to Bobby Petrino.
WDE!!!
