PM, one of your former compadres George Lapides said this on his morning radio show today(Tuesday). George said he was talking with some people in East Tennessee on Monday who told him that the talk there was that the ACC may invite Kentucky to join their league. I don't believe in a hundred years that it would happen but it is just some more good rumor to talk about............like we need another good rumor.

The only possible way i could ever see that happening is if it had something to do with the ACC being a much better basketball conference. At least historically.

Well, they just lost Maryland, so they are probably shopping around.
It might be fairly attractive for Kentucky. They are a basketball school, no question, and their football team would instantly be more competitive.
Not sure how the math would be on take-home conference money, but I'm guessing that the ACC is going to have a new TV deal soon, and the basketball money they'll be in line for will probably be pretty impressive (Duke, North Carolina, soon to add Pitt, Syracuse, and Notre Dame....all very strong basketball programs). If they add Kentucky, that's quite a basketball line up.

historically yes and they've added syracuse and pitt.. acc is becoming a bball conference only.

Louisville makes more sense for the ACC than UK.
