Petrino's Skeletons

  • if there are more skeletons in his closet that AU found then someone needs to spill the beans. Otherwise it looks very much like an excuse by the committee for not hiring him and to try to unite the fans.

    We did this whole tell anyone not toeing the company line to hit the road thing when Chizik was hired. A lot of us were pissed about hiring a 5-19 coach and were treated as outcasts for not supporting him. We now know which side was right in that debate. Do you kick family members out for having a different opinion?

    I'm not 100% against Malzhan but he is a long way from Jeff Fisher, Bob Stoops, etc.

    Remember, you can't be sued for slander if it's true o if we have dirt on Petrino then spill it. Otherwise it's an excuse.

    Jeff Fisher was never leaving the NFL, and Bob Stoops was never leaving Norman. Petrino had too much baggage. Quit whining

    I'm not sure what you want here outlaw. The fact that no one, not even Southern Miss, is willing to hook up with Petrino should tell you all you need to know about him and his skeletons. We (I) don't need to know details of his personal life or any more about him than that our search committee didn't think he was the man for the job. Time to move on.

    +1 Some people just follow blindly and do as they are told and never questions what they are being force feed

    Can you think of a more classless thing to do than to publicly disparage a guy we didn't hire that has nothing to do with us?

    Outlaw, this Perrino thing has gone to your head. You're not even making rational arguments anymore. You wanted him, you didn't get him, move on.

    I wasn't even staunchly against him, and I wasn't in favor of Malzhan, but now Auburn has a new coach. Would it kill you to just get on board and support him until he gives you good reason to stop doing so?

  • Wouldn't it be ironic if Petrino winds up at Arkansas State?! I am sure the committee had just reason for not granting him an official interview based on their conference call with him. I for one will assume they did. Time to move forward and support Gus and the new staff!
