I can wait to see what our record looks like in four years with Smart, when we're doing this again. It's a pathetic hire. Not saying Petrino was right for our job.... but at least get a guy who doesn't have the same record as a head coach in college football, that I do.

Jimbo was concerned there was a division in the support at the high levels of Auburn's power players. I believe he expected to recieve almost unanimous support and was not interested in leaving one divisive environment for another.

I am no professional coach evaluator. But even my dumb eyes can see this is a joke of a sham. Dye gets his man and we continue to be the laughing stock of the sec. Even UK got a better HC. One that has at least done it on his own and ridden the coat tails of Saban.
Call it what you will but when we are looking at another search in 3 years....what will we get then..... Maybe by that time spence McCracken will be available.

I would have thought that if Morris would get a real interview so would Petrino but nothing Jacobs does shocks me. One good thing is I have ZERO doubt that Jacobs will not survive the next hire. This will be like the election, we'll start over top to bottom in probably 4 years:):)

To anyone that thinks for one second that this "phone call" was anything more than a thanks but no thanks call. You are very diluted.
Get ready to gas up the spy car and get smart. It's the best we can do. A never has been head coach is gonna bring us back??? Lol hahahahahahahahaha
And also don't think for one second we won't get a rash of crap from bammers saying things like ? Could beat us slyly has to take our coaches. Then when they beat us they will tell us what some of us already know he was running sabans system.....he was just the face. Not the shot caller.
