Well, I don't like him but I am in agreement with his statement about being a year or two away from "being there." I think more likely one year than two.

I hated the show until I realized he's just pitting the mentally challenged against one another...now it's hillarious to listen to, and I keep the SiriusXM app on my phone so I don't have to miss it in the afternoons.

Thank you. I spoke to him personally before the event and questioned him during the event. He spoke a lot about his mom and how tough she was on him growing up. Even after he was working. He said he won Alabama sportwriter of the year, called his mom in New York to tell her, and she said "call me when you win the national award. I didn't know people in Alabama could read." He said the next year he won national sportswriter of the year...still not impressed.

I don't listen very often, myself. I have learned to just switch to CD when the bashing starts...

I'm not smitten by any stretch, but I was impressed with his passion to help those who aren't as fortunate in life. I do get frustrated with people who go with the herd and hate him. If we could all be so successful. WDE!

So, one way or another, Paul Finebaum is a really good liar.

I will never forget the year that AU was finishing strong in recruiting, I think it was the class that Michael Dyer was in. The year that Eric Smith got into his little brawl at a local bar and the young man he got in a fight with brought suit against Eric and Auburn.
He had a lady on his show that was representing the young man and they proceeded to try to destroy Auburn and our recruiting class. He made the statement that AU had a gang problem on the team and even went as far as to say, people if you have a son being recruited by Auburn you might want to think twice because they have a gang problem down there.
I will never forget that and I know a lot of other people heard it too. He is a snake in the grass and not to be trusted.

I don't care how "nice" he was. ...

You would be nice as well ! After all, the advertisers want PF to make nice-nice so that folks will "change their mind" and thus tune in! It's all a money gambit, and it's all so the PF advertisers can push their wares to get you to buy stuff you don't really need.

I've never liked comedy entertainment mixed with sports, and I do not like that show.

I do not like the fact that he uses obviously mentally challenged people in order to mow them down with his banter...he is going to get his butt beat like that one day.

I dislike shows involving "set up" shticks involving obviously delusional individuals, or individuals "acting" as if they are.

I want sports radio w/ real personalities, not slapstick comedy
