Pat Forde, does anyone take him seriously?

  • I just heard an interview with Pat Forde on Dan Patrick's show. In response to the question "what is the best coaching job available?", Forded said Tennessee is a close 2nd to Arkansas!

    Granted, I'm biased but I can't see Arkansas in the top 3 much less the best job available. I don't read any of Forde's articles so I can't really form an opinion about him, but based on this one interview he sounded like a complete fool!

    As long as the current administration is in place, I'd have to agree.

    Both UT and Arky will pay just as well, and they both appear to have legitimate Athletic Directors who will hold accountability for the state of the program.

    Auburn doesn't, and won't for the foreseeable future.

  • Dude you can't be serious. Pat Forde is Big Time... Haven't you heard, he just broke a 3 month old story about self-reported secondary violations with self-imposed penalties. Move over Mr. Robinson, Forde is king of the hill now.

    You know, of all the things that I've heard, this is the most telling that he has a grudge.

    I can accept, that based on your view of things, UT is a comparable job. Huge fanbase, adequate facilities, willing to pay top dollar, reasonable recruiting base. But arkie has bupkes. Hard to recruit there. Hard to even GET there. lagging in facilities, smaller fanbase, etc.

    There's NO WAY that arky is a better job than AU. To say that it is with a straight face is very telling.

  • Yep, he couldn't see the facts from the egg on his face(was hoping for an egg on face emoticon)..you know, the whole Newton thing. Forde was sold the bill of goods and despises Auburn for proving him wrong. What a loser.

    I do NOT take any radio guys, BSPN reporters, or anyone that does not have a direct feed from AU AD. That is why I have subscriptions to AUC and Rivals.

    Folks like slimebaum, and the radio dudes in B'ham, have no idea, other than what they read on spuat message boards or rumors spewed by bamers.

    Just like slimebaum saying AU is in big time trouble with the NCAA. He has no idea. These so-called raio personalities are just trying to get ratings and start crap against Auburn.

    I respect Scarbinsky because he tries very hard to get the dirct info from AU and he does his research.
