The coach comparison makes them all look very similar. Sonny and Cliff both eventually had some good seasons, maybe CTB will, too..

The nice thing about the Harlem Shake is that anyone can take part. The goofier you look, the better you are at it. The bad thing is you're over it after the fourth time you've seen it.

The Barbee detractors are active, to say the least, and I wish they would calm down. (I actually often wonder how many games they have actually attended or seen.) The tough thing is that we need to give him two more years to see if he can get this thing headed in the right direction and keep it on course. 2014 will be a team with a core of sophomores, a few seniors and some talented freshmen. In my opinion, 2015 will be the indicator of whether or not he is the right guy. I think he is. WDE
P.S. Harlem Shake? Don't know but think I can survive without it!

To be perfectly honest, I'm shocked that he is happy that Chizik was fired. He seems more concerned with the win/loss column. And, according to his philosophy, we should have gave Chizik another year. After all, Chizik was 30-10 not too long ago.

I think the main reason that everyone is sick and tired of the excuses for AU basketball and Tony Barbee is the fact that this year's roster was loaded with experience and decent talent. Not many teams in the country have 5 Srs who have been in the same system for 3 years. Regardless of what he inherited, Barbee should be much further along than he is right now. I understand that Auburn is not a "basketball school" and will probably never be a perennial tournament team but we should expect a much better ROI considering the money that has been spent than what we are getting. I'm not calling for Barbee to be fired and don't have a problem with giving him another year or two to figure it out but it's obvious that he was not the best option available when he was hired, just as Gene Chizik was not the best option available. Both were signed to ridiculous contracts and money is being flushed down the drain as a result. I understand that Jay Jacobs is a nice guy but he doesn't know how to run a business. He is a follower, not a leader and an athletic department as prestigious and rich in tradition as Auburn's deserves better.

To be blunt, Barbee's record sucks. No question. But I think judging a coach solely by his record doesn't tell the whole story. We've improved since he has been here. his first season we were getting handled by teams like Presbyterian, now we thump teams like that. And we've had our chances to have maybe 19-20 wins right now. I'm not sure why guys haven't been able to make the clutch plays at the end, but again we've had our chances. I'm not saying losing is ok, but it's not like Barbee is the worst coach on earth. And unless Phil Jackson or Greg Popovich is in line to be the next head coach, giving Barbee the pink slip after 3 years would be doom for The program
