Joe Whitt's recruiting efforts pay off again, new coaches say it's a new day, winter workouts no place for the faint of heart and more.
jadennis said... Never forget, yachts and strippers pay off in recruiting.
And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.

Great read this am Phillip! WDE Lots of good "meat and potatos" in this article ~ loved it
It's a new day in Auburn football!
when the going gets weird the weird turn pro
Thanks Philip for this article. I was blessed to have Coach Whitt back in high school. Although my sport was baseball, he took particular interest in all the athletes there -- always wanted to be a resource of help. He has been great for Auburn.
All Auburn All the Time!
"The bottom line is this: It’s a new day," Harbison said. "We’re going to start fresh and move forward."
For the players this is a simple statement that is acheivable only through dedicated effort, and a short memory of last year.....very short.

Hmmmm. Just as what if, as I have no insider knowledge other than what is written on here, but: Clint is supposed to graduate this summer, what it he came back as a GTA? Given his position on the roster, playing time was extremely unlikely, and as a GTA would still be part of the team... It would free up spot on the roster at the same time. Does anyone know what his plans might be after graduation?
Yes, I believe in Auburn.
PM- What are some examples as to how the winter workouts are more demanding than previous years? Thanks
Go coach Russell. Great to hear the workouts are demanding and tying to build muscle mass. With this new staff Coach Russell is the first person players from last year will see that a "New Sheriff" is in town. They will take the workouts seriously or get out of the way. This can very well set the tone for the practices to come. WDE
Good friends are hard to find. Enjoy every moment you have with them.
You have hinted that the offense was dysfunctional as well as the team and that it started at the top. I know that you can't go into alot of specifics, but, would you mind elaborating a bit on what transpired. I got the impression that CGC lost all control of his assistants and players. I also got the impression that he had difficulty in tempering his ego after the national championship. I could be totally off base, but you would know better than any of us. However, I'm glad it is a new day and that there does seem to be some light at the end of the tunnel.
