Me, too. I was thinking he should have stayed another year under different coaches. As a matter of fact, I was wondering if he could win a starting position at Auburn last season. He did not finish strong. We really don't know his reasons. Maybe he and his family needed the money.

I've said I figured 6-8 wins, regardless of who was hired. With Gus' offensive potential, 8 wins is probable if the defense improves as expected.

People aren't realizing that Texas A&M lost Kliff Kingsbury, the OC under Sumlin the entire time he has been HC, so, A&M will be very different next year, not as good. Kingsbury to Sumlin was like Malzahn to Chizik, not good coming up for Sumlin.

It is great that Shaq has developed so quickly. I think Greene is much maturing as well. At the start of the season when the game was tough, the veterans had to play. Now the new guys are playing more during crunch times.

I really wish the best for Corey but not understanding his leaving early at all. I agree with most of the above posters in that another year to truly shine could've really done him good. He was unheard of toward the end of the year for unknown reasons... I hope he doesn't end up down the same road as McGlover... and heck... McGlover did finish strong his Junior yr sack attack vs bama....

Shaq... So incredibly glad you came to Auburn (first and foremost) but also so proud of how you've learned and matured rather quickly! Keep bringing your A-game and let's see you get the SEC Newcomer (Freshman) of the year award baybeeeee!!!!!

With our weak, compared to last few years, schedule, 8 wins will be a bit of a letdown. We don't gloat over 8 win seasons at Auburn and have plenty in the cupboard to win 10 games next year. We must hold our standards higher than what the lame coach Chiz had some believing. Soooo glad he is fired and all his cronies. Gus has proven virtually instant offense wherever he has roamed. He recruited nearly every player on offense at some point, so the learning curve was matched the day he was hired. This is HIS team. He got most of the coaching credit for 2010 and it looks as if he was the only one to deserve the credit, certainly wasn't the coaching from some of the others. We deserved an F in all aspects. His needs to turn this thing around now, not 3-4 years from now. The Pressure is on, I think Gus will respond! Sad when Auburn fans simply want a winning record. From ultimate sunshine pumping to nearly giving up, that's quite a swing in 7 months. Flame away!

You're right. I knew I was leaving a game out but it just slipped my mind. It was probably the best defensive game we played all year. Hard to think back to that game and reconcile it with how the defense played for the rest of the year.
