  • We've had two glaring examples of coordinators hired to guide scheme changes not being able to hire their own position coaches and both were disaster seasons for Auburn. If a head coach ever proposes that again, our AD needs to describe options. One, resign immediately. Two, resign tomorrow. Three, be fired. If that doesn't happen, the President of the university starts looking at AD replacements. Learning late has consequeces, but they're less than not learning. How could we be so numbed as to ignore what happened twice so close in time. .

  • The transition from High School to SEC basketball is a difficult transition. I've seen kids whth a world of talent never adapt to the intensity of SEC basketball. It is sad but I think someof it comes from all the notariety they get as a stand out High school player. They often think they can keep doing the things that brought them to AU and continue their success. Those who realize it's a whole new world and they have to prove themselves all over again and remain coachable will grow into the best player their gifts allow. I'm glade to hear the practices are hard on all levels, it's key to bringing a program into national contention.

As far as playing on the road in the SEC it must be seen to be believed! As long as I live I'll never forget going to Rupp Arena in 1982-83 season and hearing the bedlam turn to silent with each shot Charles made. To take it to an SEC team on their on court is a magical moment I hope Coach B and his boys get to experience often! WDE!!!

  • Very nice "musings" Phillip. It is great to see Cam back for his degree! I wonder what all of those talking heads and haters that said AU meant nothing to him and he would never be back think now? I have never seen anything the likes of what was said about Cam and Auburn as there was in 2010. I was so very proud of Cam in the way he handled it. He just smiled that beautiful smile of his and found a way to beat the .... out of everyone he faced. WDE Cam and welcome back!
