Excited about Gardner! Glad AU has higher academic standards, but I've not heard about this regarding JUCO transfers. Who besides Auburn and I'd assume Vandy has the higher standards for tranfers versus all of the others in the SEC?

Garner sounds like a home run homecoming. Regarding our "strict" rules for academic standards for JC transfers, keep it up. I think it's worth sacrificing a recruit or two for a limited playing horizon to protect the quality of an auburn education...

I like the slightly higher academic requirements. Auburn should make that public, then maybe people would back off some of the Auburn jokes.

It was reported on this site that Rocker decided Tuesday not to come back to college ball, which sped up the decision by Garner.
I remember that Garner and Barkley are cousins also.
Now we need a kick ass linebacker coach.

I had no idea any SEC schools would except a junior college or any D as a transfer. That validates some of the SEC football player and academic jokes. It really is a little embarrassing for the Mississippi schools.
